How fast is fast? Decision time vs money in your wallet

Two clocks run on a fast cash loan: the decision and the payout. Lenders state the first more often than the second, and neither is guaranteed.

Those are the companies’ own statements, taken from their sites. Your bank, your e-wallet and the lender’s checks decide the real timing.

What to have ready before you apply

Most apps ask for a valid ID, an active mobile number and a place to receive money: a bank account, or an e-wallet where the lender supports it. Details differ by lender:

  • Kviku: age 18 to 65, Filipino citizen, valid ID, bank account and phone number. Apply with Kviku
  • Finbro: age 20 to 70, one valid ID (SSS, UMID, driver’s license, passport, National ID or postal ID), a selfie, employed or with regular income.
  • Honey Loan: age 21 to 70, government ID, mobile number, with a credit check on every application. Apply with Honey Loan
  • MoneyCat: age 22 to 60, ID, proof of income, proof of address and recent bank statements. Apply with MoneyCat

Have these ready and the form takes a few minutes. Check the full requirements on the loan apps list before you download anything.

Quick cash loan apps: compare and apply

Three to start with. Terms come from each lender’s website, with source and date on its card.

Applying costs nothing and takes place on the lender’s own site or app. Read the Disclosure Statement before you accept.

Set your amount and days on the loan apps list to see which lenders still fit.

What a fast cash loan costs: ₱5,000 example

Short loans cost more per day than long ones, and apps quote interest per day or per month, which hides the total. The figures below are simple arithmetic on the highest rate each lender publishes, with no late charges. They are estimates: the exact amount is in your Disclosure Statement.

Note the terms. The two lenders that publish a rate start at 61 and 65 days, so a ₱5,000 loan for exactly 30 days is not on their menu. Kviku starts at 15 days but does not publish its rate, so ask for the total before you accept.

The SEC sets ceilings on the effective interest rate including fees, on late penalties and on the total cost of small short-term unsecured loans from lending and financing companies, and it recalibrated them in SEC Memorandum Circular No. 14, series of 2025. The current limits and the loans they cover are on the SEC website.

Compare the total to repay, not the daily rate, on the loan apps list.

Using a cash loan app safely

Before you install an app, find the company name, SEC registration number and Certificate of Authority number in its terms, then look the company up on the SEC lists of lending and financing companies. A company with only an SEC registration, and no Certificate of Authority, is not allowed to lend. Lenders here name their company and SEC number on their pages, for example Finbro (Sofi Financing Inc.) and MoneyCat (MoneyCat Financing Inc.); we show these as the lenders’ own statements, so confirm them on the SEC site.

Also: grant only the permissions the app needs. Collectors must not threaten or shame you, or contact people in your phone contacts other than your guarantors or co-makers. If that happens, keep screenshots and report it to the SEC.

The full checklist, with red flags, is in our guide to legit online loans and loan apps in the Philippines. To pick an app that shows its details, go to the loan apps list.

If you cannot pay on time

Late payments bring penalties and can be reported to the Credit Information Corporation (CIC), which hurts your next application. Contact the lender before the due date and ask what it offers:

  • Finbro says a minimum payment moves your next payment date by 7, 14 or 30 days, and full early repayment on or before the next payment date costs nothing extra.
  • MoneyCat allows early repayment, and says paying early avoids additional charges.

Do not borrow from a second app to pay the first without checking the total on both. Spreading one debt over two apps usually costs more.

Ready to borrow? Compare apps by total cost on the loan apps list and apply online in a few minutes. The lender decides after its own checks.

FAQ

How long until the money arrives?

It depends on the lender. Honey Loan says approval usually takes 2 to 3 minutes and it pays 24/7; Finbro says it transfers on the same day after approval. These are the companies’ statements, not guarantees. See all options on the loan apps list.

Do I need a payslip?

Not always. Kviku and Honey Loan list an ID, a mobile number and, for Kviku, a bank account. MoneyCat asks for proof of income such as a payslip, and Finbro asks that you are employed or have regular income.

Are fast cash loan apps legal?

Yes, when the company holds an SEC Certificate of Authority as a lending or financing company. How to check it, and which red flags to avoid, is in our guide to legit loan apps.

Can I borrow with a low credit score?

It depends on the lender. Honey Loan says it runs a credit check on every application; other lenders on the list do not describe their credit policy. Each lender uses its own criteria, so a no from one app is not a no from all. Try the loan apps list, but avoid applying to many apps at once.

Important information

“Fast” differs between lenders and the cost can be steep. The lender decides after its own checks, and none can promise approval. The cost example is for ₱5,000 on published rates (as at Oct 17, 2026). See the loan apps list.
